Trip overview
Mera Peak Climbing Overview
Mera Peak (6,476m) is the highest trekking peak in Nepal. It sits in the quiet Hinku Valley inside Makalu Barun National Park. The climb offers a great high-altitude trip with grand Himalayan views.
This 14-day trip blends remote valley trekking, glacier walking, and Sherpa culture. It is perfect for fit hikers who want to reach their first 6,000-meter peak safely.
A Non-Technical 6,000m Peak
Mera Peak is not a technical climb. The slopes are gentle, and the path is simple. However, high altitude and glacier paths require basic climbing gear. You will use crampons, harnesses, ropes, and ice axes.
Our friendly Sherpa guides help you every step of the way. Before heading up the glacier, they teach you how to use your gear in Khare. If you are already trekking in the region, you can join our Mera Peak Climbing from Khare package.
Unrivaled Summit Views
The top of the peak offers amazing views. On clear mornings, you can see five of the highest mountains on Earth:
Mount Everest (8,848.86m): The highest peak in the world.
Lhotse (8,516m): The fourth-highest mountain on Earth.
Makalu (8,485m): A giant sharp peak to the east.
Cho Oyu (8,188m): A large peak on the Tibetan border.
Kanchenjunga (8,586m): The famous giant peak in eastern Nepal.
