The New Round Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of the most iconic trekking adventures in the world and a dream destination for mountain lovers visiting Nepal. This legendary Himalayan journey takes trekkers around the massive Annapurna range, offering an unforgettable combination of dramatic mountain scenery, traditional culture, diverse landscapes, and authentic local experiences. The Annapurna Circuit Trek 13 Days is perfect for travelers who want to experience the real beauty of the Nepal Himalayas beyond crowded city life.

This incredible trek passes through beautiful villages, deep river valleys, alpine forests, suspension bridges, waterfalls, and high mountain deserts. The route gradually climbs from subtropical landscapes to the remote Himalayan region near the Tibetan border. Along the way, trekkers can witness the unique lifestyle and traditions of Gurung, Thakali, and Tibetan-influenced communities who have lived in these mountains for generations.

One of the major highlights of the trek is crossing the famous Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters. Throng La Pass is one of the highest and biggest trekking passes in Nepal. Reaching the top of the pass is a rewarding achievement that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan giants. The Mountain views including Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and many other snow-covered peaks.

Muktinath Temple and Sunrise From Poon Hill

The trek also includes a visit to the sacred Muktinath Temple, an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. This spiritual destination adds a cultural and religious dimension to the adventure. Another unforgettable experience is the sunrise view from Poon Hill, where trekkers can enjoy golden Himalayan panoramas early in the morning.

The Annapurna Circuit Trek is not only famous for its mountain scenery but also for its changing natural environments. Trekkers walk through green rice terraces, rhododendron forests, rocky cliffs, dry valleys, and glacier-fed rivers. Is New Round Annapurna trekking trail (NATT) effected by roads?

The NATT (New Annapurna Trekking Trails) route was specially created to avoid as much road walking as possible on the Annapurna Circuit. However, some sections are still affected by roads because vehicle roads now reach many villages around the circuit.

Compared to the old Annapurna Circuit route, the NATT trail uses alternative hiking paths through forests, villages, and traditional stone trails to reduce road exposure. Most trekkers choose NATT because it feels quieter, safer, and more scenic.

Road-affected sections can still be found in areas like: Besisahar to Chame, Manang, Muktinath, And Jomsom to Tatopani.

Overall, the Annapurna Circuit NATT Trail still offers an excellent trekking experience with beautiful mountain scenery, local culture, and fewer roads than the standard route.

Whether you are a beginner seeking adventure or an experienced trekker looking for a classic Himalayan journey. The Annapurna Circuit Trek offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience filled with natural beauty, cultural discovery, and unforgettable mountain memories. Moreover, if you have limit time frame for this trip then Annapurna circuit trek also possible in 8 Days

Acclimatization in Manang Village during Annapurna Round Trek

The journey of the Round Annapurna Trek in Nepal is one of the best high – altitude treks. Furthermore, it is also one of the oldest trails of Nepal. The maximum altitude on this amazing trekking route is the height of Thorong La Pass (5416 m). In any higher elevation trip, you must adjust your body to the demands of such altitude. Usually, oxygen level is thin and you may feel exhausted easily. Sometimes, the situation may worsen and you may feel altitude sickness. The cases of HAPE and HACE are fatal. Therefore, you must acclimatize properly.

Manang village is an ideal place for acclimatization activities. Travelers trek to the Gangapurna Viewpoint as part of the acclimatization activity. It takes about 2 to 3 hours to complete the excursion around the Gangapurna Lake. Trekkers reach the height of around 3900 m above sea level before returning back to Manang. The sight of the Annapurna Himalayan range, Manang Valley, and Gangapurna Lake looks spectacular from the top.

Crossing Thorong La Pass (5416 m)

The most fascinating and challenging section of the Annapurna Round Trek in Nepal is definitely the Thorong La Pass section. One should note down that you can start the crossing either from Thorong Phedi or from Thorong High Camp. The choice is yours but our trekking guide will asses your conditions before deciding where to stay overnight before Thorong La Pass. Pleaes note down that the pass is also one of the longest mountain passes of Nepal.

Early in the morning before dawn at around 4 am to 4:30 am, trekkers begin the Thorong La Pass crossing journey. As the sun starts to show, you feel tired but equally mesmerized by the surrounding scenery. Relish the sight of closeup view of snow-capped mountains. Once you are on the top of the pass, you will feel victorious. Furthermore, the evening in the sacred Muktinath temple premises after amazing and adventurous Thorong La Pass crossing feels surreal.

Muktinath to Tatopani for Classical Round Annapurna Trek

The classical Annapurna Circuit Trek in Nepal includes the Ghorepani Poon Hill section as well. Therefore, trekkers have to trek from Tatopani to Poon Hill and end the trek in Nayapool. After the construction of road, the trekking distance has decreased significantly. Even if the distance has decreased, the Himalaya View Treks Pvt. Ltd. presents you the best itinerary to provide the classical feeling. There’s no point of walking on an asphalt road from Muktinath to Tatopani. Therefore, you will drive to Tatopani to begin the second phase of the classical Annapurna Round Trek in Nepal.

Tatopani to Ghorepani Poon Hill

The final section of the classical Annapurna Circuit Trek in Nepal is the Tatopani to Ghorepani Poon Hill section. Get ready to wrap up the trek in Nepal’s oldest trekking route by walking in the most popular short trek route of Nepal. The trail is difficult due to complete uphill through green lush forests all the way to Ghorepani. However, the scenery is unmatched once you are in the Ghorepani village. Relish the sunrise and return back to Nayapul via Jhinu Danda. Note down that the Jhinu Danda is also one of the trail heads of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek in Nepal.

Side Treks from Annapurna Round Trek route

One of the famous trekking routes of Nepal is the Annapurna Round Trek. Furthermore, it is also in the heart of the region. You can count this trekking route as the major trail from where you can do lots of different trekking trips. Famous side trek trail is the Tilicho Lake. The world’s highest situated fresh water lake is the Tilicho Lake at an altitude of 4919 m.

Allocate around 2 to 3 days to include the Annapurna Tilicho Lake Trek itinerary in the original plan. Similarly, you can also do the Nar Phu Valley Trek in Nepal from this trail. Travelers must know that the Nar Phu Valley Trek is within the restricted areas of Nepal. Therefore, they must acquire special restricted area permit before the trek. If you wish to add more adventurous side trek, then choose the Pisang Peak Climbing package. For this, you must acquire special climbing permit from the Nepal Mountaineering Association. The Himalaya View Treks Pvt. Ltd. will help you fulfill the dream of leaving footprints at the top of the snow – capped mountain.

Can beginner book the Annapurna Round Trek?

Beginner trekkers can also book the Annapurna Circuit Trek in Nepal. The biggest question is that the physical requirements for the trek. Majority of trek sections are not hard to walk in terms of uphill and downhill sections. The trail is mostly on a road with few harder sections. The toughest part is the crossing of Thorong La Pass. Therefore, if you are physically fit and can walk for about 6 to 7 hours in an average, then you can surely complete the trek as a beginner trekker. Hire an experienced guide and follow proper trekking itinerary to maintain safety and ensure high success rate.

Build up your physical fitness level. If you are not prepared physically, then start the fitness program at least one month prior to the trek. EBC Trek: April 2026 In April 2026, we did the 11 day Everest Base Camp trek with Himalaya View Treks. We were a group of two with Ram as our guide and Santos as porter - a pair of absolute legends! From the first email enquiry, Simbir of Himalaya View Treks was responsive and helpful and we couldn't have had a better trip. If you're going around in circles trying to decide who to book your EBC trek with (like I was), look no further. We're already thinking about our next trip and when we're back in Nepal, we wouldn't hesitate to go with the same team.

Everest base camp with island peak I completed the Everest Base Camp trek and Island Peak climb with my dad, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Everything went incredibly smoothly thanks to the excellent planning and organisation from Simbar. Our guide Sobit and porter Jhalak were outstanding both extremely welcoming, supportive and professional throughout the trip. We genuinely felt they made the whole experience what it was and without them we honestly wouldn’t have made it. I would highly recommend both the company and especially our guide and porter to anyone considering this adventure.

Annapurna Circuit Trek 2026 My wife and I went trekking on the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal from April 2–15, 2026. We used the services of Himalaya View Treks, and our guide was Jiban. During our trek, we encountered unexpected heavy snowfall, which made the journey much more challenging. However, Jiban constantly monitored the weather and assessed risks to adjust our plan, prioritizing our safety at all times. Thanks to his expertise, we successfully and safely crossed the Thorong La Pass. Throughout the trip, he took excellent care of us and provided honest, straightforward advice. If you are planning a trek in Nepal, I highly recommend consulting with the team at Himalaya View Treks. I hope you have as wonderful an experience as we did.

We had an amazing experience! We would really recommend Himalaya View Treks! We did the EBC trek. From the moment we booked, we had excellent communication with Simbir, who provided us with all the information we needed. He always replied quickly. Unfortunately, we had to postpone the trek by a few weeks due to the war in the Middle East, but this was no problem at all. The trek was rescheduled without any issues. We had Suraj as our guide for the trek and were very happy with him. During the hike, Suraj arranged everything for us and made sure we could fully focus on the trek itself. He was constantly looking after our well-being and ensured we didn’t have to worry about anything. He also knew a lot about the area and the mountains. We can’t recommend him enough and would definitely want him as our guide again if we ever return to Nepal. On top of that, he’s really good at cards and chess. And he’s also good at taking pictures!

EBC Solo Trek (26 yo female) Just finished the EBC Trek and can’t say enough good things about Himalaya View Treks and my guide, Sujan. From the moment I booked the trip, the team was extremely responsive, communicative, and professional—I felt supported every step of the way before I even arrived in Nepal. A huge shoutout to my guide, Sujan—I absolutely loved him. He made the entire experience. He handled everything on the trek seamlessly, from meals to accommodations, so I could fully focus on the journey. He was attentive, organized, and genuinely cared about making sure I was safe, comfortable, and enjoying the experience. Completing the trek in 8 days was a huge accomplishment, and I truly credit Sujan and the team for making that possible while still ensuring everything was done safely and efficiently. Overall, the company is extremely well-managed, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering the Everest Base Camp trek—couldn’t have asked for a better team.

Excellent I just completed the 10-day Annapurna Base Camp trek with Anil as my guide, and I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation I had going in. From day one, Anil's professionalism set the tone for the entire trip. He was always well-prepared, punctual, and clearly prioritised our safety at every stage of the trek — whether it was pacing us correctly for acclimatisation, making smart calls on the trail, or ensuring we were well-rested before the harder days. You could tell this wasn't just a job for him; he genuinely cared about getting us to base camp and back safely. What really impressed me was how calm and composed he remained throughout. That kind of quiet confidence is exactly what you want when you're days into a mountain trek and pushing your limits. I never once felt uncertain about the route or our wellbeing. The trek itself — the rhododendron forests, the mountain villages, the jaw-dropping views of Machapuchare and the Annapurna massif — was breathtaking. But having Anil alongside made it a truly special experience rather than just a physical challenge. If you're considering the ABC trek, book with Anil without hesitation. You're in safe, capable hands.
