Chulu East rises above the dry desert of Manang valley which is a part of Damodar Himalayan range. Chulu east peak climbing offers the magnificent views of the mountains such as the Annapurna II, Annapurna III and IV, Gangapurna, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho Peak and Manaslu. The yak pastures, diverse range of flora and fauna and beautiful villages settled by friendly and warm hearted Sherpas, their culture traditions etc. along the route to the base camp enchants every climbers who climb this peak. You climb the peak from the North-East Ridge which is the normal route to climb this peak from a Base Camp. Chulu East peak climbing is not technically difficult; however it requires the solid snow climbing skills as well as the strong physical fitness of the of the climbers. you need to be familiar with the use f the climbing equipments like crampons, harness, ice axe, tying knots and handling climbing ropes.
The journey to the Chulu East peak climbing begins with the scenic drive to Besisahar from Kathmandu through the Prithivi highway. From Besisahar which is the starting point of the popular Annapurna circuit trail, you walk through the Marsyangdi river bank following the Annapurna circuit trekking trail until Chame. You pass the waterfalls and rice terraces enjoying the spectacular views of Mt. Lamjung and Annapurna III. We also cross different ethnic settlements of Gurung, Magar, Sherpa where you can explore their culture and lifestyle enjoying their greeting and friendly behavior. Then you head to Chulu east base camp crossing the Pisang village. You can also combine this journey to the Muktinath where you visit holy Muktinath Temple and Kagbeni where lies one monastery belonging to 15th century. You also cross the high passes while trekking to Muktinath. The best time for Chulu east peak climbing is from March to May and September to November.

Day 04 :Trek from Besisahar to Bahundanda(1,310m).
Day 05 :Trek from Bahundanda to Chamje (1,430m).
Day 06 :Trek from Chamje to Dharapani(1,950m).
Day 07 :Trek from Dharapani to Chame(2,630m).
Day 08 :Trek from Chame to Pisang (3100m.).
Day 09 :Trek from Pisang to Ngawal (3305m.)
Day 10 :Rest day at Ngawal for acclimatization.
Day 11 :Trek from Ngawal, to Chulu East base camp (3910m.).
Day 12 :Trek from Chulu base camp to High camp (4955m.).
Day 13 :Rest day at high camp for acclimatization.
Day 14 :Summit to the Chulu East Peak and back to Base Camp.
Day 15 :Trek from Chulu East Base camp to Manang (3560m.).
Day 16 :Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4350m.).
Day 17 :Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4420m.).
